Whether it’s a lifestyle magazine feature,
a business profile or content designed to help readers build a relationship with a brand, their success relies on the resonance of the words with their audience.
That’s where I can help. Finding the right words (and ensuring they're spelt correctly) is something of a passion for me as I've spent the last 18 years writing and editing across magazines, online and in radio.
Whatever the medium, I take pride in crafting an engaging message or story for an audience and presenting it in a clear and error-free way.
My experience includes ten years in magazines (2004-2014), the last seven of those as the editor of food magazine Dish. Prior to that, I edited contract magazines for clients such as Electrolux, Rodney Wayne and Freedom Air. I worked on TVNZ's website nzoom.com from 2000-2003 as editor of the food, wine and fashion sections and presented live-streamed shows (we were ahead of our time!) and before that I spent several years as a reporter and sub in Newstalk ZB's Auckland radio newsroom.
In mid-2014 I set up Foxcroft & Co, offering my services in feature writing, copywriting, subediting, contract editing, proofreading and presenting.
